Our History
Brookville Baptist Church was organized by its first pastor, Rev. William Berry in 1873. The church was named for its geographical location known as the Brookville Magisterial District in Campbell County. It was organized in a small building, 18 x 26 feet, owned by its members. It was situated across the street from its present site.

The church has continuously grown from the twelve who composed its organization to a much larger membership. In 1884, land was purchased, and a Little Wooden Church was built on its present site. In 1970 and 1991 God enabled the Church to carry out several major exterior and interior renovations which have culminated in a beautiful edifice.

In June 1997, Brookville listened with reverence to the sermons by Rev. Leroy Mitchell III who was installed as pastor on September, 21, 1997. We welcome and receive Rev. and Mrs. Mitchell (Stephanie) and their children, Marcus, Cedric, Candice and Adrian. We look forward with great anticipation to the task each disciple will have as we continue in God's service.

"...And Upon this Rock, I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." - Matthew 16:18

25 So David and the elders of Israel and the commanders of units of a thousand went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-Edom, with rejoicing.
