The Women’s Ministry was developed to encourage spiritual growth and fellowship for the women of Brookville in a sisterly environment. The ministry is led by Associate Minister Gwendolyn Campbell. In addition to addressing the specific needs of women in the faith, Minister Campbell has also taken the lead in planning and implementing the Annual Women’s Conference. During the last year, this conference was changed to into church wide conference with the goal of unification and it included the congregations of two other churches.

The ministry uses scriptural lessons and other Christian materials to help women mature in the faith and become better wives and mothers. Other topics offered include understanding the Holy Spirit and His Gifts and how to use them in ministry, becoming the Proverbs 31 Woman and “A Woman After God’s Heart.”

Under the direction of the Pastor, the women developed an outreach project called “Conversations for Women.” This quarterly luncheon offered the women of Brookville and the community a designated time to come together for fellowship and leadership development. It eventually grew into “Spiritual Enrichment” meetings and was opened to our brothers in Christ.

God has blessed the ministry to expand into outreach activities in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail and the Juvenile Detention Home. As part of this great entity, we see ourselves in agreement with the vision of the church as we commit to lead by example in all areas, participating with the other ministries, in worship, in studying the word, and in Community Outreach and Evangelism as we live out our mission statement.
